Since 2018, we’ve been working to promote a healthier, safer, more livable community through education, beautification, and environmentally sustainable projects and practices.

About Us

In 2018, a handful of individuals from Calhoun and Gordon County convened to discuss how to reduce roadside trash, encourage recycling, organize community clean up efforts, and help spread the word throughout our communities of the value of a cleaner, greener environment. In 2019, we became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, EIN 83-3839643, and on November 4th, 2021, we became an official affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.

We are a group of local citizens with diverse backgrounds and interests, including education, medicine, industry, engineering, business, writing, photography, government, and history. We encourage everyone in our community to participate and bring their energy and ideas to the group.

Keep Calhoun Gordon Beautiful focuses on four things that each of our members can help with:

Individual Responsibility

Improving the environment and quality of life of communities begins with personal responsibility and behavioral changes. We want to help individuals become engaged stewards of the environment.

Partnership

Broad-based community alliances including public, private and civic sectors are essential to achieve sustainable community improvement. We want to be a collaborative organization.

Education

Education and awareness are key steps to encouraging positive behaviors toward community improvement. We want to help educate those around us.

Volunteers
